Brief Personality: A clever, ambitious dreamer, Adam often strives to make the best out of any situation that he comes across, to use them to his advantage. Often, he takes this ambition a little too far and gets himself in over his head, like with Van Statten and what happened on Satellite Five, but his heart is always in the right place. When it all comes down to it, all Adam really wants to do is help people. | |
| Brief History: Adam Mitchell was a genius from a very young age. Speaking in complete and complex sentences before he was even a year old, Adam spent most of his childhood fiddling with electronics and complex theories. He was a master hacker by the age of five, and when he was eight, he hacked into the United States Department of Defense missile control system just to see if he could. It wasn't until he was 20 and recruited by Henry Van Statten that Adam actually felt like he had a place in the larger scheme of the world. He wasn't just fiddling with numbers or hacking major networks just for fun. He was going through and cataloging real alien artifacts, real alien technology, that could be used to help humanity. Sure, he was working several hundred miles underground in Utah, but it was more than he'd ever dreamed of.
And then the Doctor and Rose showed up. And Van Statten's Dalek got lose. And the bunker was destroyed, leaving Adam at a loose end again. He and Rose had gotten along well, though, and when she and the Doctor climbed into their blue box, she motioned for him to follow them in. Adam has mixed feelings about this trip. While it was everything he'd ever hoped for, it also left him in a dire straight when the Doctor kicked him out, leaving him to cope with the implant that he had installed in his head. After his mother fainted upon seeing the port open, Adam closed it back up and ran to his room, only to end up in a hotel. |
