Brief Personality: Sweet, understanding, playful, a sheer bleeding heart with the best interests of everyone in mind, Gwyneth is the type of person who puts everyone else before herself. She will do whatever she can to help someone, no matter the circumstances. Even if it means risking herself in the process. | |
| Brief History: Born in Cardiff in 1842, Gwyneth was a inquisitive child who enjoyed watching and helping her mother keep house. It was when she was very young that she started saying things to company about things that she shouldn't know. After being punished by her father for talking out of turn one night, her mother came to talk to her about why she was saying what she was. The descriptions that Gwyneth provided, her ability to just pull images and thoughts out of other people's heads. Her mother, after a brief moment of horror, explained to Gwyneth in hushed tones that she had the Sight. Her grandmother had had it, and now Gwyneth was subject to the cruel visions. Her mother insisted that she hide it, to keep it to herself and never speak of it again. And she didn't. Not until her parents were killed by the flu epidemic that swept through Cardiff two years later, and she was taken in by the undertaker, Mr. Sneed, as a housekeeper. Moving into the house, Gwyneth started having trouble with her Sight becoming stronger with every passing year until she couldn't hide it from her caretaker anymore.
It wasn't old news that the old funeral home was haunted, but when Mr. Sneed started having trouble with the corpses coming to life, he insisted that Gwyneth use her gift to help him keep everything underwraps. And then the Doctor and Rose showed up, and they learned the true nature of the hauntings. The voices that had been whispering to her since she was a child needed her help, and she was going to help them no matter how many protests were put up. She knew her own mind, and nothing was going to stop her from fulfilling it. Well, except for dimensional rift that seemed to have yanked her somewhere...well, it wasn't the morgue, that's for sure. |
