Age: 180ish Height: 6ft 1in Point of Canon/AU: Between Sound of the Drums and Last of the Time Lords During the year of hell, in particular, a universe where the Master has been leaving him alone in a cold, dark, and silent room, chained so he's on his feet all the time, without food or water, or anything to distract him from the lack of a good deal of sensory input that he's accustomed to having. |

Brief Personality: Kind, impulsive, not always nice, doesn't always have a good read on people, loyal to the Doctor, has regrets, doesn't like to talk about his past, good at keeping secrets, very capable of lying or truth sound implausible or a lie.
At the moment, half out of his mind with starvation, dehydration and sensory deprivation, and very wary about this place, and trying to decide if he's gone insane, or the Master's playing another trick on his mind. And almost desperately wanting the dark and cold and silence back. Also, he has a faint tune playing in his head, sometimes overlaid with the same drum-beat the Master hears all the time. He doesn't know where it came from, or how to get rid of it, but it's a goodly part of the reason he wants the dark, cold, and silence back, because he knows how to focus on them and use them as a mental weapon to keep the music away. |

Brief History: Born on a backwater planet, went to the Academy, became a Time Agent, lost two years of memories to the Agency, became a con-man, met Rose and the Doctor, cleaned up a bit, died fighting the Daleks, was brought back.
Went back to the 19th century while aiming to land in the 21st, lived over a century on the slow path, joiend Torchwood, watched it fall, mourned Rose, rebuilt Torchwood, found the Doctor, traveled to the end of the universe. Came back, got captured by the Master, gave Martha his wrist-comp, was chained in a cell with no windows, and has been there ever since. He's not sure how he got where he is, or even where he is now, and he thinks he might have gone completely over the edge. Either that, or the Master's decided to play with something new, and he's certain either one is a bad thing. |
