Brief Personality: He's clever, charming, psychopathic and more than a little crazy. Extremely egotistical and tends to underestimate his opponents. He can go from silly and jokey to ruthless and scary in a flash. | |
| Brief History: At the age of eight, the Master looked into the Untempered Schism and it both inspired him and drove him mad. Not that he thinks he's mad, of course. He just has different values and aims from other people.
He's not the man he was before spending years as Professor Yana. He has these pounding drums in his head, for a start, which make it extremely hard for him to control his telepathic abilities these days. Unlike the Doctor, the Master usually travels alone. However, right now he's actually married, to Lucy Cole. Not that she's been getting much of a look-in with the Doctor and Jack around, on the Valiant. The Master is obsessed with the Doctor. Just about everything he has ever done has been all about trying to get the Doctor to pay attention to him. They have been lovers (on and off) since they were boys back on Gallifrey. He's also, now, rather obsessed with Jack. He doesn't feel wrong to the Master. He's fascinating. Not to mention all the fun he can have killing him over, and over, and over... It's going to be a bit of a shock to him going from being Master of the Earth to just another lost soul here... |
