Rose Tyler ~ Rowan Tyler ~ Rose Tyler

Name: Rowan Tyler
Journal: bad_wolf
Player: Mecca
Age: 20
Height: 5ft 11in
Point of Canon/AU: Gender-Swapped Rose from Post-Doomsday
Brief Personality: Rowan is curious, smart mouthed and full of a kind of glee at the universe. He's attached to and fiercely protective of the Doctor as well as being very possessive of him. He loves traveling, seeing time and space and helping people. He does tend to get caught up in his own world with the Doctor.
Brief History: Peter Rowan Tyler was born March 1987, on the Powell Estate to Pete and Jackie Tyler. He was named after his father so went by Rowan (he had red hair when he was born before it lightened to blond). When he was about a six months old his father was killed in a hit and run. Rowan was subsequently raised by his mother alone. He dropped out of school for a girl but got his shit together, moved back home, and started working at Henrik's Department Store and dating Micki, a girl on the estate that he'd grown up with. Then one day his work got blown up by this guy who was saving the world. Rowan helped him keep plastic from taking over the planet and then decided to travel with the Doctor.

He saw the end of the world, he saw his father die, he encountered Daleks, met Jack Harkness in 1941 London (thank you for that sexuality crisis and explaining bisexuality, Jack) , and aliens in modern London. In what seemed to be the final battle of the time war the Doctor thought he had finished, the Doctor sent Rowan back to his own time in the Tardis, leaving him and Jack on a space station, doomed to die; Rowan didn't have any martial skills.

But that was a no, Rowan wasn't a girl and he wasn't going to be kept safe. He looked into the heart of the TARDIS, saw all of time and space and returned to the Satellite, spreading the words "Bad Wolf" through time and space to remind him that he knew how to get back here. Absorbing the energies of the Vortex gave him the ability to save the Doctor and the earth, destroy the Daleks, return Jack to life (though he does not know he did that permanently, making Jack immortal.) The power of it though was starting to destroy his body. The Doctor kissed him, absorbing the energies of the vortex and Rowan passed out. The Doctor took his memories of everything from the time the Doctor sent him back to his own time (no sense in pissing him off when it didn't do any good anyway). However, the power of the Vortex destroyed the Doctor's body as well; he just had the ability to make a new one.

Which he did, shocking and freaking Rowan out. The Doctor sent the TARDIS back to London, Rowan's mom and Micki. Rowan was initially freaked out and violent before he became convinced this new guy really was his Doctor.

Rowan was knighted by Queen Victoria, making him Sir Rowan of the Powell Estate (which is never going to stop being funny), although immediately afterwards Rowan and the Doctor were banished from the British Empire. Rowan and the Doctor meet up with Brendon John Smith, a former traveling companion of the Doctor of whim Rowan was wicked jealous, though he eventually came to really like the older man. They asked Brendon John to come with them, but Brendon refuses and Micki asked to come. They traveled with Micki for a while before they accidentally traveled to a parallel Earth, where Rowan met an alternative version of his father, who has become a success. Micki elected to stay on the parallel Earth to fight the Cybermen.

Rowan and the Doctor returned to their own universe, but later find that both the alternate Cybermen and the Daleks are invading their Earth. Although Rowan and the Doctor managed to remove both enemies from Earth, Rowan was nearly pulled into the "Void" between worlds in the process, and was only saved by being transported to the alternate world on the other side of the breach by his father, Pete. There, he finds himself stuck on the parallel Earth, reunited with Jackie, Micki and the alternate Pete Tyler. Later, the Doctor manages to project his image through the last crack between the universes, sharing a farewell at Bad Wolf Bay. The Doctor informed Rowan that he is presumed dead in the aftermath of the invasion. Rowan told the Doctor about working with the parallel Earth's (non secret) version of the Torchwood Institute due to his experience with aliens. Rowan told the Doctor that he loved him. He also told him thank you.

Rowan heads up the archiving project of alien debris (the stuff that washes through this universe's rift) which is located not in Cardiff, but in London instead; right where the rift between the dimensions on Canary Wharf was.
