Brief Personality: Though born of two people who are not entirely "there", Samuel is a fairly normal little boy. He is quiet, though friendly enough if approached by someone who doesn't mean to harm him. Since he was raised alone with only his mother for company he's not comfortable with strangers, but he tries not to show fear because it upsets his parents. He takes on a stoic attitude when faced with things he's not expecting and his attitude is usually nonchalant or reluctant. He's smart as well, but since he inherited more of his mother's brains than his father's he actually turned out as merely a "clever human". He will, however, regenerate if killed and is likely to live for hundreds of years. | |
Brief History: After the conquering of Earth, the Master relegated his wife to be little more than a oft-neglected concubine. The human race has been reduced to about one-third of its size, many are in hiding and the Master has declared martial law. He decided that complete annihilation of the species would make it tough for him to accomplish goals on the planet itself, so he has called off the genocide. He does, however, pay very little attention to the remaining humans and so it not uncommon for there to be famine, disease, riots, etc. on the planet. Once the Troclafane army was complete and his weapons were armed, the Master began to slowly start his invasion of other sentient worlds. At present he commands approximately twelve galaxies and he has his hands in about three current wars.
Samuel was born merely a year after the Doctor's attempt to right the situation. He was born on the space station Valiant where the Doctor, Jack, and Martha's parents are all still being kept as slaves. The Master has all but forgotten about them except the Doctor, whom he regularly visits to torment. Samuel doesn't know about the past, not really, and he treats them as nothing more than servants. There is a bit of haughtiness to him only in the fact that he is taken care of and never has to do anything on his own, but he's only a little spoiled. He is, however, fascinated by the Doctor of this universe, but he knows better than to let anyone onto the fact he listens to the other man's stories. He's very careful to conceal any knowledge he gets from the Doctor. His life is actually fairly normal considering his parentage and upbringing. Samuel is taught by a tutor and his father insists he attempt almost impossible math and science for a half-human boy. The Master had originally hoped to raise him as an example of the "next generation" of Time Lords, but since the boy is not as ingenious as most Time Lords that never happened. He spends his free time roaming the station looking for things to do or sitting with his mother. Lucy Saxon has turned into a paranoid, neurotic, and obsessive mother as her son is the only life she has to cling to. If the Master cared to pay attention to his offspring she might worry more, but as it is he leaves the boy on his own. He has more important things to worry about than one small, (as he sees it) sub-par child. |
