Brief Personality: O'Neill was selected for the first Stargate mission because he was depressed, self-hating and suicidal. Since then, he's been concentrating on the more important things in life (fishing, The Simpsons, doing crossword puzzles, playing chess, drinking Guinness and Mary Steenburgen). He quips, he mocks, he protects. He corrects improper grammar. He usually advocates a military solution to problems, does what he believes is the right thing to do but changes his course if he's proven wrong. | |
| Brief History: Jack O'Neill is a United States Air Force colonel with experience in special ops. He lead the first team through the Stargate to Abydos on a reconnaissance mission and, after the creation of Stargate Command (SGC), he was given command of the primary SG team, SG-1.
