Brief Personality: Sarcastic, avoids confrontation, lies as neccessary (often), can be smug about his knowledge but not always willing to share it, very much a survivor. He can be loyal to those he calls friend, and when pushed to a confrontation, cheats, and tends to be ruthless. | |
| Brief History: Born roughly 3000 years before the common era, Methos has forgotten where he grew up, and isn't entirely certain how old he actually is. Or so he says. No one is quite sure if that's the truth, or just him being his secretive self.
He's traveled the world more than once, and kept a journal of some sort ever since he learned to write - about the same time as humanity was learning to write. At one point he was one of the Horsemen, four Immortals who raped, murdered, pillaged and burned their way across three continents. He's been married 68 (at least) times, but never to another Immortal, he taught Byron, he's tried to travel in the Northern Atlantic in a rowboat with five monks, and taken his dying lover (Alexa) on a whirlwind tour of the US, Northern Africa, and Europe. He's joined the Watchers (probably more than once), and counts Duncan MacLeod, Joe Dawson, and Amanda among his friends. He also has a mutual-baiting relationship with an Immortal pirate named Alysse. Update: He went home, decided to go looking for this new bit of possible Doctor Who, found out a Watcher in Cardiff was filming something called Torchwood - and probably hired his Immortal to play a character on it. Went to work for a man named William Stryker who he found out a bit too late was rather insane, and convinced that there was a conspiricy of mutants out to take over the world. He helped to rescue the kids Stryker kidnapped before drowning when Stryker blew up the dam he was using to power and hide his base. Not quite how he planned to get rid of his current alias, but better than a prison term. Ran into a head-hunter, was trying to run away, went through a warehouse door in Marseilles, and ended up back in what he'd convinced himself was a nightmare. At least this time he's armed.
