| Brief History: Estelle grew up in the English countryside, in a warm, loving home. Her mother tried to keep her grounded, but she was always going off on flights of fancy. When the war came, although she wanted to go to London to help, her parents wouldn't let her. After many arguments, they consented to let her and a close friend who they trusted move to Cardiff and look for work in war support. Estelle's friend got a job as a waitress, Estelle in the local war department office. They share a small flat, do all they can to help the boys who are fighting, and have fun going to dance halls (which, they insist, also helps the boys).
Along the way, she's met many servicemen (and women), including one Captain Jack Harkness. She thought he was quite attractive and had beautiful eyes. Unfortunately, so did the blond who made it quite clear that the captain was her escort for the evening. |
