| Brief History: Worked for UNIT until she was poached by Torchwood after an incident with a sonic modulator and a terrorist who'd taken Tosh's mother hostage. Has worked in Cardiff with the team there since.
While investigating Rift activity at the Ritz, she slipped through to 1941, leaving her partner in the investigation (Ianto Jones) in the present. She found a young American pilot - Jack Harkness - helpful in finding her someplace to stay, and a potential job if she couldn't find a way home. She was at the Ritz again, trying to figure out how to get back when she ran into the Doctor. He followed her back to the hotel room Jack had secured for her, chatting about the Rift, her anachronistic technology, and how she's trying to get home. He offers her a chance for travel in time and space, and she is eager to go along - and to see the inside of the TARDIS. She's oddly glad that Jack came along as well, especially since they are... well, she's not sure where, and the Doctor's missing. Which is not at all reassuring. |
