Jack laughed aloud at that. Nice move, playing the innocence card, but the Doctor wouldn't be any kind of deterrent. Besides, he was just...playing. Having fun. "He'd say 'Jack...don't start.' "
Susan laughed as well, a wicked grin spreading across her face. She was having far too much fun right now, far more fun than she should have been having. But still, it wasn't as though it would do any harm. This place didn't exist, after all.

"Sounds like it's something he's had to say before," Susan said, smirking. "And I'm guessing quite a bit."
"Now and then." Not for a long while, though. And, if he was one hundred percent honest, he kind of missed it.
"Only now and then?" Susan asked with a teasing grin as she settled against him, closing her eyes. "Somehow I doubt that."
"I've not seen the guy for over a century," Jack pointed out reasonably. "It kinda limits his opportunities."
Susan smiled a bit to herself, hmming softly, "I suppose you've got a point there."
Jack resisted the temptation to use his point to prod Susan, because that would almost certainly result in being prodded back, and settled for a satisfied smile. "Besides, there's no harm in it."

He wasn't quite sure why he was justifying it. Flirting with a beautiful woman was second nature, he just did it.
"In flirting? No, of course not. That is, unless you flirt with the wrong people and end up getting slapped. But you've got tough skin, I'm sure," Susan teased. "And no, I'm going to be good and not poke you again to illustrate that point."
"Been there, done that." Jack grinned, nostalgically. Oh, hell yeah, been more than slapped for flirting in his time. Some more fun that others. "And thanks. I appreciate it."
Susan grinned at Jack, shifting and snuggling against his side a bit more, "Either way. I won't smack you."
Jack laughed. "Even if I ask nicely?"
Susan lifted an eyebrow at him with a slight smirk, "Maybe. If you beg."

Innocent, indeed.
That took the laughter further. "Takes a hell of a lot for that to happen."
"Oh, like what?" Susan asked, a teasing grin dancing on her lips. She was clearly just playing around, seeing how far they could push this til one of them broke. She had a feeling it would be her.
"More than lying in the grass and watching the stars," Jack teased back.
