 The Doctor ventured out of his room feeling rested, and rather more in control.
The hotel was quite large, but he found his way to the dining room, and spent a while watching the comings and goings. Once or twice he thought he saw a face he recognised, but most of these people were strangers to him. There was very little to work with, and nothing to discern a pattern from - yet. Ah, well. While he was here, he might as well settle in and have a cup of tea. |
 Jack had helped her find a room and made sure she was settled. Estelle had taken a nap, cleaned up and put on one of her new outfits. Skirt and blouse, nice shoes. She supposed it was a little dressy, compared to what others were wearing, but, well, she was taught to dress for tea and it was tea time.
She walked down to the dining room, pausing in the doorway and looking a little lost until she saw the blond gentleman drinking tea. "Excuse me," she said and smiled apologetically. "Do you mind if I join you?" |
| He glanced up and smiled. "I don't mind at all. Please do. I'm the Doctor, by the way." |
| "Hello, I'm Estelle," she said with a smile as she sat, sweeping her skirt under her. "What sort of doctor are you?" |
| "Oh, all sorts. Any sort you like. Except veterinary. I'm not terribly good with animals." |
| "Well, my cat hasn't seemed to follow me, so I think you're safe," she said. |
| The Doctor smiled. "I don't suppose you have any idea where we are? Or how any of us got here?" |
| "No," she said. "I met a wonderful man named Jack who says time brought us here, but he didn't really say where here was." |
